fuses

started blowing the fuse for my horn, the actual factory one in the fuse box… new one in, honk once and its blown… anyone have any idea’s before i dig deeper into it? im sure its grounding somewhere… but where? lol i know stupid ?

if you have any wires running through any holes in your truck make sure it hasnt rubbed a hole in the insulation…

roger that, will check

Anytime you have wire going through a hole in your truck you want to protect it… either by using a rubber grommet, or a split loom wire protection, or something of that sort, you don’t want to put just the wire through a hole…

Did this ever get resolved? I had another idea if it didn’t…

Do you have your air valve running off of the same power wire as your factory horn? maybe its drawing too much power…

to be honest man havent even looked at it but today probaly… i dont think its drawing too much i have had it set up this way for a year and never blew anything… even when i had my shockers and k3’s going off at the same time, im sure im grounded somewhere though

All relays for me…to prevent this problem and be able to switch between the stock and the train horn.

it was in the wire going to my solonoid, had a burnt spot from the exhaust, honking like a champ now!! thanks guys!

Its not in wire loom? You’ve been a bad bad boy!

haha its all good man! juts happy to be back in buisness

I understand, once you go air horn you never go back!
