find someone with a tig gun and you are back in business…that looks like cast; aluminum by what the previous posts say…could be put back to “good as new” with minimal effort; some serious grinding and cleaning; and a good tig welder.

What kind of valve are you using? Sounds like you slowly opened & closed a ball valve.
Ran about 150’ of hose from a large ingersoll rand compressor. So the line still had a lot of air to release even after closing it
