Got a question on pressure regulators.

So I ordered the HornAir 248 air system. The tank will fill up to 200PSI. But I only want to have like, 130PSI at the horn. I’ve seen on ViAir’s site that their APR regulates from anywhere between 0 to 150PSI.

My question is, even if it is rated from 0 to 150PSI, can I still bolt it up to my tank even if the tank will be at 200PSI?

Thanks.

That’s what regulators do. For them to give you a constant pressure out of the tank you need more in the tank so you want a pressure switch that will turn the compressor on before the pressure drops below your regulator setting.

Our regulator is rated to 150 PSI.
You can try it at 200 PSI, but its not rated for it.

If you kill it by using it in a way that is inconsistent with its suggested rating, there is no warranty on it. -Just like any compressor, gauge, tank or other product we manufacture.

mcmaster.com has them…just search air regulator…cost me 80bucks for a 1/2"line…flows like 250cfm
