Got my K5s, got questions!

That’s a nice horn. Looks like a k5HL they are sweet sounding horns if you put them on a low bracket it will be a k5LL but I wouldn’t worry about it unless you have ground clearance issues…

Make sure you tape off that shiny tag so you don’t paint over it.

Good catch! I missed that but I see it.

What makes it a K5KL. I believe the H stands for the high manifold. What about the L.

I can see the 1L on the bell.
K5HL = 1L, 1, 2, 3, 4
K5HLA = 1L, 1, 2, 3a, 4a

It will have a deeper sound than a K5H or K5HA

K- k series horn
5- 5 note
H- high manifold
L- 1 low pitch bell

K5kL? You got me there

Well I have decided to go with a 8 1/2 gal tank and 2 compressors in a turn key kit from http://realtrainhorns.net/. Its going to include everything I need. a complete kit. I will mount my horns where the spare tire on my 2007 F150 4 door short bed. I will mount the horns slightly off center so I can fit my tank on the side of the horns. Once I get to installing everything I will know where I will mount my compressors. I think I will extend my air inlet lines to behind my tail lights so they are high and dry. Will post pix when installed.

hmm their prices are considerably low… let me know when u get ur kit if everything is good…

Will be ordering my kit Friday. The 200 was a deal for him being a good friend. It’s going to be 600 for a kit including a 8 1/2 gal tank, 2 compressors and all the fittings/ wiring/ line I need.
