I’ve been the proud owner of my 2003 Tundra since it was brand new. Have done a lot of work to it over the years, but recently got a pretty good offer for it. Nice thing is, they want to take ownership in the Spring - which means I won’t have to buy another truck for a few months with good riding weather. Hell, I may wait longer. When I do replace it, I plan to get a brand new 2011-12 Tundra CrewMax Shortbed with the 5.7 iForce V8 in it. My Tundra has been good to me, so its only logical to get the newest generation to replace it.
Basically, I’ll get enough out of my truck to more than pay half off on a brand new, more loaded, newer version of itself with larger rear doors and a bigger engine.
Would you sell her?
(I’ll be letting my train horns go with the truck, but I do have a K5LA sitting in my garage waiting for the new ride.)
Yup, with delivery. Even had them install a Firestone air bag kit for the rear and Bushwacker fender flares.
With the Labor Day sale, the rebates, incentives, loyalty cashback, the installs for the air bags and fender flares, and trade in of my '03 Dodge QCSB CTD, this was my cost out the door.
They gave me top dollar for the trade because I either have the dealer do my service, or I do it myself and have all the paperwork to prove it. The '03 Blue Booked around $20k and they gave me $15,900 for it.
And if the emissions junk decides to become a PITA, I’ve already got plans to do the deletes to it.
