Got back from work today about midday, and there waiting for me was a huge box stamped up from the states
So like a kid in a sweet shop i got stuck in, and set about finding a home for the tank, compressor etc…
Time flies when your having fun, spent a few hours putting the fittings all together, now just got to wire everything up. This is the time where people now start saying i’ve got things in the wrong place, which if i have please let me know!!! (and yes i know i havn’t got the horns plumbed to the tank yet, just need to find a route for the hose)
Luckily the battery is in the boot of the car, so power isnt a problem nor is an ignition feed as i can use the in car sat nave system in the back as well…
So only got to wire the toggle switch and push botton into the cabin
And finally made it! - Is it normal for the compressor to get really hot?
Had a slight problem at first though, an air leak from the compressor to the tank. The brass valve thing has near enough rounded (my brute force whoops!) so didnt want to do that up any more, and was rather stumped.
Got back from a DIY store and thinking on the way back “ok lets check everything bit by bit”
Did so, and muppet here forgot to put some of that sealant tape on the silver metal connector into the brass fitting :o Now all tight as a ducks bum!
I am 110% pleased with the whole thing! Didn’t take avideo camera with me on her first run, but got a few “Where the hell did that come from?” looks, and a couple of kids on bikes in the park screamed and ducked! Car attractes attention anyway with the sound of the exhausts, so i’ll be saving my honking for tailgaters, lanehogs and shows (and when i’ve got a car full of mates, i dont want to be on my own if i get attackted lol!)
