well everyone im a girl that has been handicapped the last 8 years of her life with bad back and knee. i have a rough 2000 Pontiac Montana but i love my van. i am wanting to put in a fun toy aka the HornBlasters Conductor’s Special Model 240 Train Horn Kit. my spare tire carrier is busted so i figure that’s a good place to carry the horns, unless u all think i can run from back van to behind grill/bumper. i know i am strange but i am comfortable with who i am. but was wanting to say hi and if anyone has tips on how i should install my first git it would be awesome.
Welcome to the forums, I used to have one of those vans, they can really take a beating lol
As far as horn placement, if nothing is in spare tire than put it there. Strap the compressor and tank in the back of the van.
yeah nothing in spare area someone cut cable that hold the spare tireso nothing is there
I would definately say use that. You can always leave the tank in back and run the 1/2 inch air line to the front so you can put the horns behind the grill also(if they fit).
Welcome to the forum.
Heck yeah, bolt a big ol horn on that mini van. People would never suspect it.
Welcome.
ty for th warm welcome i think it surprise a few from a handicapped van, couple months ago a little punk kid said learn to drive that piece of snite van. that been a perfect time to have train horns lol, make him respect tho horn
Welcome, I’m sure you’ll enjoy that horn. The horns are pretty easy to mount since they are so light weight and low profile.
mount the horn on top of the van, a nice K5LA would look nice on top!
ty again for warm welcome on top the vans a interesting idea, but want it to be a hidden surprise. im just wondering if i should get a new spare tire or not. i plan to have a class iii tow hitch one day. im wondering if i could get the storage tank strapped to it with u bolts or something. i need room in back of van for wheelchair so space is at a premium hence why im considering only pump inside and storage tank underneath. maybe get some longer tubing & get them behind my grill that has tones of room.
cant wait till we see videos of this thing!
need the cash for horns. but things like working gas gage, brakes, struts, wheel hub, heat and air, ect fixed first
