I just purchased a set of HB OUTLAW train horns and I got everything hooked up, went to test them and nothing! So I let all the pressure off tank an tested actuator and it worked. Turned air compressor back on and tested about half way through fill up and still worked. But once tank was all the way full, air valve would no longer open? What should I do?
Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like the solenoid is weak or maybe there’s some junk in there. Make sure your grounded to clean shiny metal.
Are you using the stock solenoid valve mounted directly to the horn? If not, make sure the flow arrow is pointed towards the horns.
Yes it’s the stock valve. Could the wire going to valve be too small?
Check with a multi-meter or volt meter to insure you are getting 12v to the valve.
Ok I’ll try tht! I used “amp turn on” wire because tht was all tht I had laying around, so I believe this is going to be problem. I just bought some 12 gauge wire should this be plenty?
Welcome, 12 gauge should be fine
