Just found this forum. I just got Hadley 910 series horns. Granted they ain’t anything big but i got the for free so i ain’t complaining. As of right now im in the beginning stages of this whole thing. I thinking im going to go with a 5 gal tank . My neighbor says he has 2 air ride pumps. Would those work? as of right now i don’t know the rating on them. Also would any of u know the operating psi for these horns? Besides that i think im good.
O i also have a Dodge 2500 cummins quad cab long bed.
HERE ARE SOME PICS OF IT.
Welcome to the forums! And nice truck BTW.
What kind of compressors are they?
I do believe the operating PSI for those horns would be about 135psi.
welcome to the
forums bro like
your ride.
peace
They are off a Buick riviera. And thanks for the psi. I have tested them at 25psi on the home compressor cause i didn’t want to screw them up.
Thanks to both of you for the compliments.
Welcome to the forums.
I have seen people use air ride compressors off cars to fill the tanks, it works if you have a smaller tank around 2 gals. Hadley’s don’t really need a 5 gal tank. You also need a pressure switch and wiring for it. It would be much easier to get a new compressor with the relays and all. I used to run my Hadley at 120 PSI.
Welcome & nice truck!
welcome, nice truck what part of md u from? how close ru to delaware?
Thanks everyone. It will be a slow project. I have to get a fuel system for the truck first and that alone in price would get my whole setup heck a brand new hornblaster kit.
I’m just north of bel air. But i have been to Newark a couple times. I have a lot of friends in the rising sun area also. Maybe some day we can meet up and i can check out what seems to be a sweet setup you have.
Thanks everyone. It will be a slow project for me. Seeing as i have to get a new fuel system for my truck and that alone is practically a new hornblasters kit.
Scaredu i live just north of bel air. Yet i do go that direction alot. I have alot of people i know in the rising sun area witch is not far from ya at all. Hey maybe one day we can meet so i can check out what seems to be a sick setup you have. It would be nice to talk to someone that knows how to do a air system, and get some ideas.
