well i figured i would introduce myself. i am currently deployed to afghanistan but reside in fort campbell, ky. i have a set of K5LA’s, 10 gallons of air, 2 viair compressors, at 200 psi mounted on my dodge (pictured, if i uploaded it correctly). i also just just got my dad to by another set of K5LA’s i found on CL (pictured if i uploaded correctly). i am going to change my setup when i get back since i was in a rush before i left. i had to hear them before i left. look forward to hearing from y’all and asking and learning. DB
Welcome. Sounds like some good times ahead with your pops!
Greetings. Can’t go wrong with the mighty K5. So do I read this right - you got two of them now? Let us know what you’re planning with those monsters. Nice looking truck you got there BTW. Anyway… hope you have a safe deployment.
Nice Horns - Welcome aboard. Be safe!!
thanks fellows. not much longer over here.
DBO: yes i have two sets now. the onces mounted under the truck are not on the factory manifold. they are on a mounted to a flat metal bar so they are all level across the back. they are out of sight from so they can’t be seen. i like the way it is becaue they don’t hang low so if in a crowd it would not be easy to see them. i do want to redo the setup on my tank and compressor. they are mounted under neither on the outside of my frame and hang down some cause of the size of the tanks. i am thinking about just making it one 5 gallon tank and one compressor and use the other tank and compressor for the other horns. i even have my cheap 3 trumpt chrome ones i may mount in the front. all kind of ideas sitting over here i want to try when i get back. also thanks on the truck. i sure like it. i have done alot of mods to it as well.
Welcome to forum DB and I pray you get home safe & sound!
Danh: thanks i appreciate it, need all the prayers i can get. i read to get back and start piddling with my setup again … too many ideas in my head for it so i need to see what will really work.
Welcome to the forums!
