help deciding what to buy

hey everyone!..im new to the forum. lots of good info here. i am wanting to buy a set of air horns for my car, and need help on what you guys think i should buy. i have a budget of 650.00, and want the loudest possible air horn set up i can get. i was looking at the conductors special 540 kit, but i want to make sure of what im buying before spending that kind of money. do you guys think i should buy a kit, ready to install, or should i look at buying separate componants, and putting together something myself? im new to all this, and there are alot of different types of compressors, and stuff. i will be installing the air horns in a 2003 honda accord. im gonna put the tank and compressor in the trunk, so i will have plenty of room. if you guys were gonna spend the amount i have, what would you buy?…thanks for the help!!! im asking for help, because i have a bad habit of pulling the trigger to fast when i want to buy something, and end up wishing i had done more research…thanks again.

Welcome to the forums!

You’re definately on the right track. The only thing louder than Shockers (that I know of) is an authentic trainhorn. If you find yourself bitten by the horn bug, you can always upgrade to a K3. The 540 kit has the 5 gallon tank which is good for a K3.

Let us know what you decide!

Welcome. You can’t do much better than the 540 kit as a starter and as ear2ear said, if you get the bug you can upgrade.

thanks, looks like that might be what i start with. i’ve seen and heard them on videos, but its hard to tell from listening to a video…thanks for your replies.
