Whats up folks. I was recommended to this site by someone on another forum (non-related), who let me know there was plenty of knowledge on hand here to help me through my install and with any questions. After having this horn set for a few years, I have been eager to get the items I need to make it all happen, and get them mounted up. I’ve finally acquired the funds to throw at this project, so its ‘go’ time.
I am putting the horns under my 2007 Tundra (doublecab, 2wd). I honestly haven’t even scouted out a prime location, but I’ll goes as far as to remove the spare if need be.
Here is what I have:
- Nathan P3’s (pics below)
- Viair 450C compressor
- air tank
From what I can gather, these are some items I need:
- air valve 1/2"

http://www.hornblasters.com/products/details.php?i=viair-160-psi-1-5-in-single-needle-gauge - pressure switch

Obviously, being green to this…I have some questions. Hopefully I can get some facts and opinions on these:
-
Besides how to mount these items, and a momentary switch…does anyone have any suggestions, as far as the parts linked above? Recommendations from one to the other…instead of the ones I selected?
-
Anything I will need in addition, besides fittings and hose?
-
Anyone mounted horns under a Tundra? I am actually looking to make something that can be removed (obviously not easily, but if/when I sell the vehicle…something not permanent)
-
There are several inlets for air supply on the manifold (pictured below). Is there a recommended port to use, or does it matter?
-
Is there any specific distance I need between the compressor, tank, pressure switch, solenoid, etc?
I am sure I have more questions…maybe some feedback will answer them ahead of time. Once I get closer to being operable, I will likely have some questions as well…like what pressure I should run through my P3’s.
Here is a test blast with some shop air… check out the dust (and disregard the header…and wrong ID of the horns)
