I recently purchased a set of train horns for my truck. The ones I bought are the MaximusIII Train Horn System. It came with everything I need to install them. The only thing they didn’t come with was ideas where to mount these monsters. I have a Ford F250 4X4 CrewCab. The thing is enough though my truck is big it is hard to find a “out of sight” place to put them. Can anyone out there help me with ideas and maybe a few picks where you hid your horns. I really want to get them installed but I only want to do it once.

Spare tire like he said. Look through the install section for ideas.
I don’t know how big those horns are but alot of Ppl can fit them under there front bumper as well. If they are as big as nathans then you will definitely need to do it on the spare tire location.
Thanks a ton guys!!! Not real sure I want my spare gone but I may have to move it to the bed. I will post a few pics when I get this done.
You can also try along the side of the frame rail with the maximus horns or under the cab beneath the drivers seat.
I installed my tank/compressor in the trunk and I have my horns bolted to the roof. Not much of a stealth install but I do enjoy it when people ask me to honk them. I don’t scare people much.
If you want to keep the spare tire the maximus will fit under the cab beneath the driver seat or along side the frame rails.
Thanks for the ideas. Is it safe to drill holkes in the frame. I was always told not too. How would you mount to the frame rail if you don’t drill holes to match your horns mount? Any other help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help. Will post a few pics when I get this completed.
I dont see any problems with drilling holes as small as you are for the the maximus horns. But you may also weld a bracket onto the frame that you can mount the horns to if you are not looking to drill the frame. But you may want to conceal your horns cause some cops will try giving you a hard time.
Is it a case of, its Illegal to “Have Horns” or “Honk Horns”?.. Out of interest, Could a cop over there give you a ticket for having the Horns, if he could see them, as opposed to simply using the Horns? I gather different states over there have different laws?
It is not avaunt the law to have a horn, it could be considered a noise ordinance or violation if it were honked, but it isn’t against the law to have. If a officer sees them he / she may be out to get you and be listening for them but can’t stop you for having them.
