I bought the Shocker 540 and I have it all installed. I put the fuse in and the compressor cut on. I have a 400C compressor on a 5 gallon tank. The compressor is located in the bed of my truck next to the air tank. It ran so long that it cut off and it was HOT. I unplugged the fuse. Then I hit the horn and nothing. I hear the solenoid valve clicking when I press the horn but no sound. I unhooked the compressor from the tank and plugged it back up and barely any air is coming out of the hose that screws into the tank. Any ideas what is wrong? Is this small amount of air flow normal. Should it take over 30 minutes to fill? It ran at least that long and cut off and still no horns.
No air leaks it is tight. I think it is the compressor unless this type of thing is normal.
First make sure your check valve is installed the correct direction.
It only lets air flow one direction. There should be an arrow on it & should be pointing towards the tank.

^^^See the big fitting looking thing on the leader hose?
It is a one way valve on the leader hose between the compressor and the tank. When the compressor stops pumping, it prevents air from leaking back out of the tank through the compressor.
It is on right. I hooked it up to my compressor in my garage and it let air by but not much. Do you think the check valve could be bad? I have hooked up three of these kits and have never had this problem.
