Help

I just bought a train horn kit. Click on link below to see the horns. I have a 2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Z71. Where is the best place to put the horns at? I don’t wanna put them under the bed of the truck. Thanks

Check the clearance between your grille and rad, you might be able to fit them there.

Your first mistake was not ordering from Hornblasters. Secondly, for what you paid for that set, you could have had a set of Shockers which is 100% better sounding and louder than these horns. Good luck with these horns.

They will be easy to hide. After being able to hang a K5 on a high manifold…anythings possible.

I agree tho, coulda bought a better kit for that kinda $$. 153db yeah right.

Ill just leave this here

I didn’t get the whole kit from ebay. I called the company who was selling the horns on ebay. I got the horns that were shown on the link I provided, but I got a smaller tank - 1.5 gallon. I paid $199.99 for the kit. I did look at the shockers on hornblasters, but there a little to far out of my price range. But thanks for the info.

I would try to put them under the hood close to the grill if it were me

Nuff said

Yea thats exactly what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna put them on either side of the radiator pointing downward. Thanks for the info.

So was the video to show that they can be mounted anywhere on a low s-10 for the op?

Or was that towards my comment…was that really 153db yeah right. That was 100yards. With a camera 2kfeet that truck woulda been a little white spec.

well it was showing that the chrome ones arent the best, especially for that price. but its his money.

After reading all ya’lls comments, I am thinking about sending my horn kit back and buying some shockers from hornblasters.com. What is the db rating on the shockers?

This four piece train horn kit is simply the loudest in it’s class. They not only have a genuine locomotive train sound but they are lightweight, extremely durable and sound at 148db at only 100PSI.

thats at 100 psi

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you had to hear people bashing your purchase.
I see they do offer a 14 day money back guarantee. You will probably have to pay return shipping but it will be worth it.
After you get your money back, call hornblasters and they will hook you up with the best of everything.
Any other questions you have, feel free to ask. There is a lot of useful info. on this site.

I have to agree with everyone else here, I’ve come across a couple of different trucks with the chrome triple china set and they’ve all been washed out by my setup… now I do have 7 total trumpets on my truck (Shockers and a K3) and all of those kits don’t come close… I would save a little bit longer and get the good stuff…
