i have a train horn kit but have no idea the brand but i know i have a viair compressor. the horns worked fine untill a couple days ago. it holds air but it wont blow… i hear the solenoid clicking but no horn… im at a loss any ideas?
Junk in the valve?
could that make it stop working all of a suddon?
Do you have a gauge on your tank? That splits the problem in half, whether it has do with filling the tank or getting air from the tank to the horns.
no i dont have a gauge
if it’s not the valve then it’s either a clogged air line or damaged horns

Yeah, I assumed there was a gauge because:
Disconnected the horn, then operate the valve air should come out when it clicks???
i know theres air because the hose is hard which tells me its pressurized when its not i can pinch the hose.
Hmmmmmm Can you hear air coming out the horns? If not, it can only be a blockage at the manifold???
nope no air …just the clicking when i hit the button…
Can you gently tap the valve?? its possible the Valve could be faulty.
I would be inclined to let all the air out of the tank, then remove the valve, then in some way connect the horns back up to the air line (minus the valve), start the compressor up and the horns should start to give out a low note or you should hear air coming out. If you dont get anything out of them and the pipe goes hard with pressure, the horns are blocked or pooped.:mad:
