What happened to the viair 490 and 495 compressors?? I thought they were released out last January but no one carries them any more… Whats the word on them?

Last few times I’ve tried to log on, the forum wouldn’t load for me.
Anyways, the 490 series is temporarily on hold. I’ve heard that they should be available before the end of the year. Turns out, they were too powerful for their own good (and longevity). We want our compressors to perform, but never at the price of the durability of the unit.
so whats some of the stories of what happened to people who bought some of those compressors? lol
There weren’t enough failures to call anything a predominant issue per se. We expect more from our products, so we stopped selling to take a closer look. The unit exceeded life testing expectations before it was released.
any changes in the cycle duty gonna be made?
More than likely, no. We already have documentation of these units published and will likely keep them rated as they were.
