hi. new to this. advice please!

hi all. just discovered the hornblasters site, after wanting a ******* horn for my car for a while ive decided to buy one so im after a bit of advice please! I live in south wales in the UK, and i live on a mountain overlooking a railway about 3 miles away and during the night i can hear the horns on the trains quite clearly and would love a horn this loud! im not much of a trainspotter but the trains are mainly class 143 pacers (ex valley lines) i want something mega loud, and have about £250 GBP ( $450 USD ) to spend. I was wondering if someone could recommend a horn suitable for my price range. also my car is a 1995 vauxhall astra which is a fairly small hatchback car. also if anyone knows how much shipping to the uk would be this would be great. thanks all. carl;)

You cant go wrong with the shocker horns. After that you can decide on how big of a tank you want( bigger means you can honk longer). also how big of a compressor you want (how fast it will fill that tank). as well as a couple other options. As for shipping, there are a couple people from the UK, you could pm Stinkypete or im sure they will chime in once they see this thread.

This thread may be of some use to you as well…

Cool! id say shockers too. not as big in size as the airchimes, but still pretty damn loud
And welcome to the forum!

ill say shockers… they are super loud easy to install and not that expensive… btw welcome to the forums…

Welcome. You may start with shockers but everyone seems to upgrade sooner or later. Shockers are great to start with.

Shockers are the only thing thats gonna fit in that price range.

hay man welcome ya the shocker wudd be a good way to go hell i am geting the shocker xl kit next month so for a ride your size shockers are good to go and hell speek of the devil the cxs train is a comen. and keep an honken pease old rolling thunder red.

Welcome to the forums!!

I’d say the Shockers too. A 200-series kit would be perfect for an Astra. I’d recommend the 232 to try and fit your price range.

You might want to wait on it and save up a little more though: there are duty taxes to be paid when it arrives, and the shipping can be a little steep. UPS, you’d be looking at about a 4 business day delivery for $150; USPS can be cheaper but it can take a very long time to clear customs.

ya i agree with him 100% thats how i am doing it i am taking care of the bills first and saved a good bit so sum time next month ill be geting my shockers but to help me out i am buying the stuff seperd i geting the AH_S4 shocker kit the one that has the hard ware only for 249.99 and geting the air compresser witch is the viair 20005 2 gallon kit for 214.95. but i am all ready squared away its gust a matter of wean i order soon. you cud tri that out and find a air kit that soots you.pease old rolling thunder red

Move it up closer to a G and you’ll be honkin with the big boys.
