Nice day today, not much work… what’s a man to do. Take the train horn out for a ride of course
First vid, inspired by Stinky. A couple of crossings to warm up on, and then into the new tunnel they just opened here. Sorry mate… not quite as good as yours - I think I have to go buy a manual valve. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6Uu_xvEohc
Second vid is just some more railway crossings on the way to the Port. Shame the drivers wouldn’t honk back though. Actually, there’s a funny bit in the middle of this one. Listen out for the guy honking back behind me.
1/2" from the tank to the solenoid, then into a manifold block which splits out into 3 lines of 5/16. 150psi at cut-out.
I’ve got some doubts about how much extra air I could push through by going to the 1/2" all the way through, but I’m keen to try.
I’m thinking of running another 1/2" line from the tank via a manual valve, in which case, I’ll ditch the manifold and replace all the horn fittings with 1/2" push fit T’s. Everything can then join up right up near the horns and run same sized tubing right into each bell. That setup would then also give me manual or solenoid release.
I mean it’s plenty loud enough at the moment, but then again… no harm in trying to go that wee bit more eh?
Hmm… depends what you mean by trouble. With the law… no. With victims… yes, but nothing serious. Strangely enough people somehow don’t like being zapped by a giant train horn. I don’t know what all their abuse is on about - I love it
