can somebody tell me if would it be fine to hook my compressor up to a toggle so maybe if i decided to blow my horns a little less that 165-200 psi i could turn the compressor off and do so? i just wanna make sure that wouldnt be bad for the pressure switch or compressor.
i have mine that way
i have a toggle hooked up to the pressure switch trigger… That way if the pressure switch dosent receive the power to turn the compressor on, nothing happens.
I mainly did it for winter time tho when the temps go below freezing , as these compressors dont like to operate with moisture in the lines…
Short answer, yes u can.
that’s a good idea man
I have mine like this even though i dont have mine hoked up to anything anymore. But i ran a wire from my battery to a toggle, then to my pressure switch, then to the compressor, And then finaly ran my ground. Very easy to do takes 10 mins.
I have a master shut off for my system as well. All I’m doing is cutting power to the pressure switch via the relay with a typical Radio Shack two position toggle on my kick panel.
