horn covers

go to car audio shops and see if they have the audiocontrol db meter with the calibrated mic. (forgot the model, AC30 I think? ) and ask if you could get your horns metered. if they use the SPL190 sensor or use termlab, your horns won’t register on those unless the notes are below 100Hz.

termlabs only got to 180…i just sold mine lol

Just go to a hardware store and get some wire mesh cut out a circle approx 1.5 inches larger than the opening of the bell, and bend the edges over the opening.

Nylon wont last, the hornblasters covers are too pricey. That’s why I used mesh – it doesnt muffle the sounds at all it will never wear out and it cost only a few bucks.

the edges you bend over may scratch the paint of your horn a little bit, but that didnt bother me…

u get what u pay for

Lets put it this way: mesh cost me less than $3.00 f or less than 5 square feet and will never wear out or rust. The horn covers go for $70 and they muffle the sound and will eventually wear out. its a No brainer.

Like I SAID: "They have come out with new one…THAT DO NOT muffle the sound…

Made of out of quality fabric. Yes ur method is cheaper… but these look really good and do their job right

What’s it matter if they look good? Most everyone here hides them under their car anyways lol
