Horns Stick on!

Hello All,
I installed a set of Blasters on my son’s truck and the system works great… most of the time. the only issue we encounter is sometimes when we honk the horns, they keep blowing til the tank runs dry. We used a separate horn button. I thought the button contact might be sticking since it was a cheesy plastic button. I just replaced it with a heavy duty all metal starter switch button. Same results.
the only other thing I think it could be is a sticky solenoid.
Is there anything that could be wrong with the installation that could cause the solenoid to stick open sometimes?
Could the solenoid not be grounded well enough?

Other than this problem the horns are great.

you could try a couple drops of air tool oil before the solenoid. that or call up hornblasters and they would probably replace it. Cant rep there customer service enough.

Defo sounds like a sticky dicky solinoid. I take it its not wired through a relay?

If its one of the Shocker valves. Please make sure the top set nut has not been adjsuted at all. If so it needs to be torqued down to 25 inch pounds.

depends on the temp outside as well, i live in omaha and when it gets below 40 the solinoid sticks open cap full of antifreeze in the tank will do it
