I just wanted to creat something special for cruisin in the sun. But it had to be loud!
For me it was important that all parts are in chrome and black - because of style factor
so i bought this oldschool chrome mongoose BMX at ebay. Also the Truck Horns and a small 0.5litre ScubaDiving bottle. All fittings are chrome and arlines are black.
After zwo weeks searching and collecting all the things i need for my project, i started building my “loud and horny” BMX.
Only the manifolds for both horns arent perfect enoughe. So next i’ll make some goodlookin’ laserparts for the horns and replace the quick-made manifolds.
Wow. Most everyone I know thought I was crazy for installing a train horn on my truck. Even I thought I was a little crazy for upgrading to 2 train horns on my truck. And here we have a dude with a train horn on a BMX bike!
I like the creativity but have to be honest that it seems like a complete waste of time / parts / money. And you will look like a major dork riding that bike anywhere. Plus you only get one short blast, probably at low volume, and there is no way to re-charge on the road. And the huge valve / gauge setup on the back looks terrible. And the whole dang thing is so obvious that most typical scares are out of the question.
But despite all that it would be cool to see a video! Can’t open your photos since they are hosted on a site with lots of spamming pop-ups. Good luck with finishing the project!
uh man! what are you doing?! =) i also had some horns on my bike, but i had a 12v battery to honk them… there also are these “mini-k3’s” from the conrad-store with a small compressor - pretty loud for their size.
you should get that huge picnic basket thing in the front of you bike and just put the horns in that. hide them like we all do hehe. with not so long of horns of course…
i actually had a dream i did that with my k3 once lol for reals
