So I’m getting my train horns installed today, shocker 228vx’s, and after enjoying to read all these horn stories it brought about the curiousity of how many confrontations with cops, if any, have you had? Reading the issues with cops kinda makes you reconsider purchasing horns so it’ll be nice to see how rare this is, if that’s the case

A solid year with no problems honking my K5.
Maybe a couple close calls, but nothing more than some stern looks.
Had horns for about 2yrs and only had one horn ticket. Been stopped bout three times but talked myself out of them. Make sure you install a switch to turn the horns off.
8 years…pulled over once…but fooled the cop

All my experiences have been positive, the city cops near me love them actually. You guys wouldn’t believe some of the stories I have with the local law with them. Its been well over a year for me with them…there are now on my second vehicle.
I “tested” mine after there were installed and our neighborhood officer was working nights, and I accidentally woke him.
He said not to blow them in the neighborhood again. Other than that, nothing.

This is my second day with the horns and I’m a little hesitant with 'em so far because of the trouble I can get into but I’ll get over that. Train horns are definitely the most fun thing I could have installed, love 'em!
Whenever you guys do get caught are you being cautious or are the cops coming out of no where?
Had mine a few weeks now and have blasted near cops (not realizing they were near.)
With so many trucks around, everyone is none the wiser. So clear here.
That said, one of my neighbors who I am friendly with is NYPD. He’s cool with it and knows someone else with them.
I just don’t poop where I eat, know what I mean?!

i have an inline fuse that at the flick of a small switch blows.
so as much as they try, to honk they dont work. I got pulled up the other day for letting rip over some wanker cutting me off in peak hour traffic. But i said to the cop did you see the semi going past im sure it was him… cop honked my horn but it was just the standard horns…

I’ve been having a ball. Been honking within 100 feet of many police cars. They just can’t figure out where its coming from !!! LOL

Was out driving while sipping tea and eating crumpets the other day, blasting the horn EVERYWHERE, or so I was told… A guy down the road told a neighbor of mine he was calling the cops next time I’m out and blow the horn…

You were drunk driving? Can’t say I would feel bad if you got arrested and they took your license and impounded your car. It would be better than you killing someone. Drunk drivers are as bad as a terrorist and should be treated like one imo.
I dont think you will get any positive response out of anyone on this board referring to drunk driving.
