How Much PSI Should The Shockers Use?

how much psi should be ran in the shockers?? ive pushed 100psi up to 165psi

They can take a hard hit !! Im blasting two sets at 175.psi ?? I have heard storys of folk’s going 200 psi?. The horns are ***** horns rated at 225.psi max. What ever you hit them at they are great horns!!

Absolutely. These horns can take up to 200 lbs, although we recommend 150 for the tone. At higher pressures (above 150), we recommend using the classic kit instead of the XL.

200 on the classic kit ROCKS

just out of curiosity why the clasic kit over the XL for 150+psi? and will 200psi on a xl kit void my warranty?

150psi on the XL is much louder than 200psi on the classic, personally i think anything above 150psi on the XL sounds like garbage.

how much louder are the shockers on 200 psi than 150?

150 seems to be the standard.

classic or XL… for mine, the classic at 200, its noticeably louder than the 150. I cant talk about the XL from experience

I wouldnt push it past 165 psi… Hope that helps

classic v’s XL i think it’s the volume of air going into the horn. it strange how some horns work, for example K3LA & K5LA are one of the loudest train horns around and they only need about 125.psi to sound great, at 150 psi your at max for them, yet you can hear them miles away!! could it be the size of them? sure wish HORNBLASTERS could built plastic replicas of K3LA AND K5LA. for us guys that cant aford the real ones, just a thought.

I drop the psi from 175 to 145 and seems to have a greater deeper tone and will give the horn more life span. also the hi pitch tone went away?
