Ok i got a set of horns that has 3 horn tubes and a 12v valve. i found a gift card (long story) and it had some $ on it and expires this week so i got a set of horns. they are 140db horns and about the length of my fore arm. I was wondering what air source options i have. im not wonting to spend a but load of $ on this. i only wont like 1 gallon tank and a compressor. also are there any direct drive compressors that are strong enough to push these horns?
also are these horns noticeably loud or are they just going to be like a loud car horn? thanks
the only horns i have been around were my buddies horns on his tacoma and he had 2 big tanks and 2 compressors with 16 legit train horns and another buddies horn blasters.
i am mechanically inclined so can understand what you throw at me
My old mate has/had a set of these on his car, they were my first ever set of siege 3 horns. This is what they sound like, they are loud, but nothing like a set of shockers or K3’s etc. They ran off a 1.5G tank and he used a heavy duty
tyre inflator compressor to fill the tank with air, it was slow & noisey and they rarely lasted longer than a month or two.
Just to clarify, the compressors never used to last, they just were’nt built for constant long duty cycles.
Good luck with it all, and if you get stuck, get Hornblasters.com to hook you up with whatever you require. (it wont be too long until you start to want bigger horns & more air)
This is a video of the Seiges in my early Hornblasting days. they were then replaced with Shockers, Then sold the car and bought a pickup and put in K3’s. Now I’m back to shockers again:D
