I got my K3HA!

So, after about a year of talking about it and looking into it
I finally ordered a Nathan K3HA, it was the greatest thing I have bought in a long time. When it came finally I opened the box and I was actually in shock of how large the horn was, it is freakin’ huge.
Needless to say it has been played with quite a bit already but I still need to find an affordable on board air system.

Tell me what you think about the horn or recommend an air system for me.
Thanks,
-Mike

5 gallon air tank would work great for you. A compressor of your choice. I really like my DC5000. I would also run a 150 psi pressure switch too.

Thanks for the replies guys. I currently have a 7 gallon 125 PSI tire filling tank that I put some fittings and a ball valve on to control it, but I am looking for one solution so it will fill itself. As for the Leslie horns, I looked at those measurements; Yeah I don’t think I have room for those anywhere. If I were to get a Leslie horn I’d get a RS-2M.

Congrats. That’s one thing everyone does when they have only ever seen pics. Underestimate the size of a real train horn. When you seethem beside a rs3, k5 or a rs5 they are small for sure

I have seen horns before, just on the top of a train, it is all about what they are next to I suppose

hahah awesome man! Just got my K3HA last week and can’t get enough of them! Congrats, and welcome to the club

Thank you for the greetings!

Real nice horn

Thank you! Now I’ve ordered the Air system! Next step: roof mount or in the bumpers :\ The fact that I have a small Honda Accord had not dawned on me until recently.

Who did you get your air system from?

Hornblasters of course!

right on man, i pretty much did the same thign, bought the horns and ordered my air stuff from them…what system did you get? I got the 548

540 with the knock off GW Valve.
Coming soon, paying someone to install it because being that I am only 17 I have very little faith in my car knowledge.

Edit: I know enough about tools, Just don’t wanna take apart my car and then be in the position of “Well I forgot how this one went back together”

Man you got to have faith in yourself…if you know basic wiring you can hook these things up man…only took me like 4 hours and thats EVERYTHING. But your doing the right thing if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself…
