I just heard it guys…you have no idea. I was sitting in the office and he was about 50 yards from the building. I seriously didn’t know wtf happened. It’s insanely loud!! Words can’t describe. Screw 3 db, def. more. Adam take a video!
Umm…well thanks, but…with all due respect…you do realize 3 db is TWICE as loud right? If you can’t tell the difference between 3 db, you need hearing aids. I ran the K3s at 200psi for about 3-4months now…when taking all of them apart putting the K5 together, the diaphrams were still like new.
Surprisingly, it’s not. Has a very plesent tone for how loud it is IMO

It might be double but the human ear can’t detect a change at all in 1-2 db. I’m pretty sure most ears can’t tell a difference in 3. I don’t mean to attack you, it’s just that adding different bells won’t make it louder. It’s the tone that changed and that is all. Sure you may be able to hear it farther but that’s only because the human ear can pick up lower sounds (longer wavelengths) better at a distance than high sounds.
You do know that the K3 is 3 db louder than the K5, right?

All good, just from my knowedge in car stereos and other audio, I know the difference between 3db, just like you can tell the difference between a 139 and 142db in a car stereo with bass, the high the hz, the louder each decible is “to the ear”. 150db at 1000hz will damage your eardrums 10x faster then 150db at 40hz…because the human ears are much more sensitive to higher frequencies.
being horns sound in the ~400hz range together, each db is quite the difference…IMO.
Either way, the db’s aren’t important…lol
The sh!ts loud. I realize My K5 is louder not because of 1 bells. But, it’s because of a little boring out, and twice as much air going to it…along with not being too far off the ground.

if you think that is loud…try a k5la with all 1L bells…using 3 risers with every other mount…that is loud…but still your modified k5la dosent beat my kahalenberg horns…
