Ok, I have recently been exchanging emails with the guy(scott) who hooked me up with my wheels, tires, and window tint on my Tahoe. Scott also says that he installs trains horns. But here’s the thing, Scott has a supplier/company that he buys train horns from, and its not Hornblasters. The suppliers/company name is called Kleinn. Below is word for word of what Scott has said to me regarding their horns and setup and so on. I would like to know what all of you think of it.
“We purchase Kleinn because they have shown to be a superior product over what we have used in the past. The horns are virtually the same product from vendor versus the other. The small valves that they send in every kit work fine so long as you give them good power and don’t attempt to give them to much air. What I do to make the system as loud as possible is upgrade everything in the system to thicker airline and a valve that can handle a higher psi. I install a 175psi switch as well. So with all that said I can offer you the same product for less money. I think ultimately the biggest problem we will run into is where to mount an air tank and some horns. The big chrome horns or the big black ones that you see as being the loudest horns offered by either Kleinn or Hornblasters are going to be more challenging than the smaller horn packs you see.”
You have quality horns / great prices / and the customer service to back it up!
Plus, you have a entire forum devoted to the products that hornblasters sell… There are a lot of very knowledgable members on here that have bought many styles of horns… learn from our mistakes and research and stick with the shockers… Or move up to the big boy horns and get a k3
there are many options out there for fitting even the biggest horn in the smallest area. Check out the installs section.
You just have to decide what you really want. They may be a little less money and a little easier to mount. But there is a reason people go through the trouble to mount shockers and real trainhorns on their rides. I believe the shockers to be the best value and the loudest next to an authentic trainhorn. Not the absolute cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
Id stick with hornblasters also, but thats my own personal choice. I have had, had the pleasure of experiencing there AWESOME customer service and have never had any issues. Hope this helps a little.
Thanks for the replies. Since I don’t have the money to lay down for K3/K5’s my next option was shockers. Kleinn is no match in the way they sound compared to Nathans, but im not to sure how Kleinn compares to Shockers…? im pretty sure shockers are louder though. Also I don’t see how shockers would be harder to mount, being that there not all on a single mount unlike Kleinn.
