Identify This Horn?

Hello THF! I am an overall sports fan, however I am a major hockey fan, especially for the Toronto Maple Leafs. If anyone is familiar with hockey, they they would know that the sport is well know for the use of a horn whenever a goal is scored. That being said, the old Toronto Maple Leafs goal horn was one of the best horns the NHL has ever had, not only for its uniqueness, but also for the horn itself, which they used from 1992 until 2005.

I’ve decided to come here to the experts and see if any of you guys can help me in figuring out what horn the Leafs previously used. I am not 100% certain it is a train horn, but something tells me it is. Anyways, here are some links to videos that feature the old horn:

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. There was a thread from a Horn Whistle Board member that listed each team’s horn but unfotunately that forum has issues and is unavailable at this time. I live in SoCal and I’m a Ducks fan so I dislike the Kings. Sharks, Stars, & Avalanche.

Each team has it’s own distinctive Horn? How cool!

Grovers. One of these: http://www.airhornsoftexas.com/collections/truck-air-horns/products/cx1054-single-horn

and one of these: http://www.airhornsoftexas.com/collections/truck-air-horns/products/cx1055

Would produce a sound VERY similar to that.

Awesome, thanks for the links. I recognized a few train horns that were listed as “unknown”.
