After several weeks of tinkering, I’m finally finished with my install of the Conductor’s Special 540 Kit. I also installed a set of Airlift 5000 airbags on the rear suspension as well as a dual paddle/needle control gauge and an Air Zenith tank pressure gauge. I placed a lighted rocker switch to control compressor to the left of the steering wheel and a momentary horn button to the right. I installed the Shockers in front of the radiator by mounting two horns directly onto the radiator support. I mounted the other two to a bar of flat aluminum that I bolted onto the support. The 5 gallon tank was a little tricky because of space concerns but I found a spot directly under the driver’s side rear floorboard. Since the floor is not level, I mounted a sheet of diamond plate with spacers and mounted it through the floor with four stainless bolts. I then riveted the plate in several places to cut down on vibration. I then bolted the tank through the plate and the floorboards using bolts and large stainless washers. It came out much cleaner than expected and I’m thrilled with how it looks. I mounted the compressor on the outside of the driver’s side frame rail high enough so that you can’t see it at all. I then ran the remote filter into the truck’s bed underneath my retractable tonneau cover box. I still have a little bit of fine tuning to do and an air leak to find but this baby is LOUD!!! I was driving around with a Cheshire cat smile on my face for an hour last night! Zenith gauge reads 155 psi when the compressor shuts off so I’m guessing it’s the gauge thats off and not the pressure switch but who knows. I lost almost all of my air over night so thats not good. Time to get the soapy water spray bottle out. My thanks to Garrett at Hornblasters for his amazing customer support. You have been great!! As soon as I figure out how to make my picture files small enough to post, I will post them.
Let’s see the pics. Your description didn’t really pain the picture.

Here are some pics of my install: Sorry the images are so small but I uploaded them to Imageshack and that’s how they ended up. I guess I must have done something wrong.

The Air Zenith gauge is only temporarily sitting in the ash tray until I can find the proper gauge bracket (Any suggestions guys?)
Here is the link to the Imageshack album so you can see them all at once. I added a few more pics as well.
