It was running great and then it just stopped it filled my tank full pressur switch kicked off and then i blasted and never came back on i checked all my wires and they are good i even ran 2 new ones and still nothing. Did i maybe blow a fuse in my compressor i dont know im just hoping you guys on here have a solution.
check the fuse, the relay, ground⌠it happens to me once and it was the fuse
could just be the pressure switch that died⌠You can try hooking it direct to the battery to see if it kicks on⌠if it does , its your pressure switch or ground
It is my pressure switch that is gone i diconnected and ran my compressor straight ot the battery and it fired up took out my volt gauge with some of my dads help i would have never guessed the ac guys no how to mess with pressure switches and it is tottaly gone so now im stuck on broke again. any idea who would carry a 110-145 pressure switch
what kind of pressure switch do you have ? Is it a grey box w/ relay built in? Or does it look like a nipple with 2 prongs sticking out of it?
Either way i would suggest getthing the grey box style as they are fairly water proof and very durable⌠they are made by viair.
Hornblasters.com sells them http://www.hornblasters.com/products/category.php?c=pressure-switches
I went thru 2 of the other type (2 prong type) until i went w/ the viair one and havent had a prob. since!
my guess would be is it has 2 little prongs mine is covered by a peice of plastic so not really sure but its not in a gray box. and i saw them on the horn site but thats just to long to wait for that stuff⌠i think i got a place around my house my dad does heating and cooling and he said the one place carrys all kinds of pressure switches.
Square D is another good brand.
well goodluck finding it local⌠When i did my last order thru HB i received it very quick tho!
Good to keep in mind in case local dosent have it.
Well yeah for sure i cant find one local then im deff. going through hornblasters.
Iâm not a big fan of the âgray boxâ style for my own reasons. As long as youâre only running a single compressor though - theyâre fine.
Always fun a relay for each compressor, it will help keep your pressure switch alive longer.
Agree with both of you 100%.
i have solved my problem aint be on here for a few days i was up north but i had stopped at a local store around here that controls big air units and what not and picked up a pressure switch that is heavy duty and covered no questions 10 years.
