I just bought a new car, and now installing my shockers kit onto that. It’s a 2010 Saab 9-3 aero, and there is very little room to mount horns. I was able to fit horn 1 and 3 inside the rear bumper. The only other place to mount horn 4 (longest horn) is under the hood, and horn 2 might fit inside the front bumper, or under the hood. The horns in the rear bumper have 2-3 feet of line between them and the solenoid. This means the horns up front will have about 10 feet of line between them and the solenoid. The two horns alone are loud, but are high pitched, so I want the other two hooked up. If I do a quick press, will only two activate? I’m just wondering how much of a delay there will be between the rear and front horns? I am not able to get equal amounts of line between all the horns. Is it going to sound like crap? I just wanted confirmation before I go out to buy 20 feet of air line.
There may be a little delay, you could even cut all the same length and just tidy up the spare line so they all go off the same time.
That’s what I was thinking - if you notice a delay, make them all the same as the longest line. Then just coil up the excess as best you can.
And try & mount the valve/solenoid somewhere central on the car to the Horns?
I used to have a Saab Turbo 16v Aero! what a car:D
I have about 8 feet for the 2 smallest and the rear 2 are almost right next to the tank. I dont notice much of a delay, maybe .5 of a sec… if that. You should be good
Thanks for the tips everyone.
