Just received this!

Girlfriend always complains that no one can see or hear her honda civic so i got her a birthday present.

That’s the way. I’m sure she’ll love it.
Just be wary of girlfriends or wifes with high powered air horns… they’ll get you sooner or later (see here) ;).

Hahaha that is awesome!

I have the S4’s on my truck and she has always loved them so i am sure she is going to enjoy her set and 100% sure i need to watch my back. Lol

Too Cool. I’ve been warned not to put them on my wife’s car. I find it funny however that when she rides in mine that she always seems to reach across the car to give mine a blast. Maybe in the future I’ll convert her.

If she likes giving yours a blast then deep down inside she really wants her own.

+1!

LOL, I agree but I’d probably regret it being that she would without a doubt blast me as I’m standing in front of the car anytime she could.

Haha that is definitely a concern although it would be war lol

You have started something you have no knowledge of my friend.

The only reason my wife drives my truck … is the K3LA.

She has nailed idiots in parking lots, the surface streets, highways/interstates, and even my dealer loves them when she takes it in for service.

hahahah nice!

i am hoping i can use it as an excuse to upgrade my system to some K3’s ;-)… the ol’ “well i can put my shockers in your car hun since you want it louder and i can get the k3 horns i have been wanting” tehe

^^^ Exactly what I was thinking. Perfect excuse to upgrade later!

Where did you buy that air compressor kit?
And for how much?

How loud is that and does it sound like a train?

Tbh it wont really sound much like a train, its cheap.

I am unsure on the decible level but it is definitely pretty darn loud. Compared to the “normal” horn you hear from a train it is much higher pitched as it is a caboose horn. If you are looking for a kit with the “train” sound then you are going to spend a little more and get the Shocker Kit.

Here is a walk through of the system on my truck with the Classic Shocker horns. The honk is at the end.

It is cheap compared to the other kits, but it is definitely loud. The quality is great by the way and is a great beginners kit. It all comes down to what you want to spend and what you are looking to get out of a system.

He asked if it sounded like a train. A good beginners kit would be the Shocker sets. They would be miles better.

Thanks for the replies.

fair enough, however it is a caboose sound which is still part of a train. I know we can play symantecs all night about this so i’ll cut to the chase. Is it a train engine horn? no
is it a train caboose sound? yes
is it a good beginners kit for a small install? yes (which is really opinion based)

you can hear the caboose sound in this video.
