K-5la manifold repair

WOW, good work man. I’d love to leard to fab like that.

Wow. Really nice job.

damn thats awesome bro nice job

very nice work.

BTW, what’s the manifold made of? looks like cast aluminum?

Horn Doc,
I take it your a machinest? So am I. I work for Black & Decker / DEWALT. Sadley, I have been there 12yrs. and should have left yrs ago. Some might call it dedication, others stupidity. I’m leaning towards the latter myself. They don’t take care of their people anymore. You sign up to defend your country, go off to war and put your life on the line in the name of FREEDOM and come home to a company that you have remained true to. What do you get in return? “You should feel lucky you have a job.” No raise. No Bennies. No Seniority. Just a damn check that bearly feeds my family.
Sorry, I’m rambeling.
Anyway. Nice to see somone who has done something they enjoy with their skills.
Diesel Sniper

Boy, that joker had some nerve. He was taking photos that I had posted to other forums and posting them here as me.

lmao

se7en, you ever get down this way (Baldwin, Co.)? Stop by. I’ll put ya to work!

So let me understand. Doc was posting your pics and posing as you on here? Is that correct? I’m glad I didn’t send my s**t to him then.

yeah i get down that way every so often my parents have a house on the bay… on county road 1 in fairhope…

That’s correct. I hope he didn’t rip anyone off while posing as me. I am known for two things in this hobby: the quality of my work, and my honesty. A good reputation is hard to get, hard to keep, and very easy to lose.

If you ever need to contact me, go through my website. It has an email address there to reach me.

Ken,
Let me ask ya, from a medical standpoint, what’s the recommended PSI for K5LAs? I hear different things. I don’t want to damage anything.

130-150 psi. Will one stand 200? Yes, but not for long. You can operate one at 150 for years without hurting it. At 200 it’s going to wear the nozzles and diaphragms like crazy.

The good news is that they can be machined back to specs, and the diaphragm flipped over or swapped with the back diaphragm to get it working again. The bad news is the machining costs $$$…but I’ve saved many a K bell that were worn beyond working limits.

what happens to the other guy with the same nickname lol???

Booted and banned.

again… lol

and again over and over again…

Hey,
Don’t boot me! Diesel Sniper and DieselSniper are two (2) different people. I’m not him. LOL

thats awesome lol

Baldwin county?? That’s where I work(ed), got a speeding ticket, and recently got pulled over while train horning.
