i was thinking it would be easier on my install to run a 1/2 line from the tank to the valve and split it to the two 3/8 ports on the sides of the manifold rather than the single 1/2 port on the base. this would make mounting the horn a lot easier, but i was wondering if it would affect the sound quality. anyone ran theirs on the 3/8 ports? i have a 12 gal tank and dual 444C compressors.
neither do with single 5/8 OD… or if you really want them to scream, 5/8" ID
i already have 1/2 PTC fittings. cant change line size now
If you want a technical answer…
Find the AREA of the 1/2" fitting inside diameter.
Now find the AREA of the 3/8" fitting inside diameter.
We can help with the formula if you just get the inside diameters.
Other than the areas of the actual lines / fittings - there would be an added restriction when using a tee.
5/8 ID barb fittings!
You can run either or. alot I know a few horn collectors that run the 3/8" port.
Sharp looking hons by the way. I like the black and gloss blue. Unique.
i agree my original set up was 5/8" copper tubing and it gets plenty of air for a good burst to em
