K5

If I was to get that k5 posted in the for sale section, what would I all need to get it up and running? I know a valve and such, but what else?

1/2" min tubing, preferrably 5/8". and fittings… You allready have tank and compressor…

Does it just snap into the top of the manifold or what holds it in

The manifold has a 1/2" threaded inlet… If you get a 1/2" ptc fitting you jsut stick the 1/2" tubing right in the fitting…
If you get 5/8" tubing , the true inside diameter will be 1/2" This is what im going to be changing my k3 to now because with the length of my setup in the tubing , 1/2" dosent give the volume to the horns i need. Its as easy as hooking up any other horn, except finding a place to mount the k5 on the manifold, and a place thats strong …

Yeah, i see now, under the bed would be my best bet, ill take off my spare tire and put it there.

Thank you.

look it all this space after i took that old spare tire off, came off pretty good for sitting on their for 17 years lol

Hey Bryan its Josh again, you can buy a 1/2 electric valve or the manual valve both from hornblasters. I run 1/2 brake line for my horns and that will make them scream, no need to use 5/8 line. You have an air tank?

Time to fill that spot up with something you’ll actually use!

Yeah, that spare tire spot is in desperate need of a K5.
I mean it’s just begging for it - lol

Yes, I have the conductors special currently, 5gallon with a viaair 444c.

haha yea for sure.

lol it is, so open there to

I have the 1/2" on my truck now and i think the reason the sound is not quite right with my k3 is because of the length of line from cab (GW) to the horns up in the grill… Only thing i can think to do is put 5/8" line in so i have a true 1/2" ID to the horns …

Sounds like a plan.

ok got the horns and everything, now should i mount them reverse or forward?

im debating. :frowning:

Up to u. Mine point forward and believe me they can hear it behind me!

U could mount some pointing forward and some to the back too, just be aware that’ll take up almost twice the space.

Yea, but if i point some back then itll be shooting straight at the bumper. Thats what i kinda wanted to do :stuck_out_tongue:

If you have the room, mount the manifold so that you can swap the bells around. That way if you dont like all the bells facing forward, all you have to do is unbolt the bells and change them however you like.

i think i left enough room behind to do that. thanks for the idea.

bahhh waiting on air valve and tubing, hornblasters never told me their were on back order…

hahah omg these are so LOUD LOL

Haha I said the same thing the first time I blew mine. The gf and I just looked at each other and laughed! That’s all we could do for a while when I blew the thing! Enjoy!
