K5hla take more air than a k5hl?

I have had a k5hl and a k3l installed on my truck for a while on a 10 gal tank and recently changed the k5hl to a k5hla everything the same except the 3a and 4a bells. With the k5hl I had 6-7sec blast before it died down. With the k5hla it only lasts 4-5sec before it dies down. Is it consuming more air or can I hear the difference better when it dies down because of the American tuned bells? Both of the horns are untouched “modifyd” wise.

I’m a little confused. Has this ever happend to anyone? I’ve checked for airleaks and everything is solid .

^ Interesting… What is your opinion of the difference of the 2 sounds?

I can’t see why one would take more air than the other.
They’re unmodified, but you might just check the orifice diameters with some calipers - just to be sure they’re not different from the factory.

If it was warmer outside I would switch out my 3a/4a for 3/4 and time the difference for an experiment.

I would compare the sound of a k5hl to torquie truck while the k5hla to a fast car. I like the deeper tone of the Canadian tune. But I just figured out what my problem is. I thinkthe cold weather may of damaged my PS cause my comps shutt off at 130-135psi

Ahhhhhh less air will tend to do that. LOL
