K5LA but with two 4 Bells???

The K5LA’s I bought have two 4 Bells on it - How will this change the sound of my horns? Will having two of the same horns make it sound bad?

is one a regular 4 and the other a 4a??? or are they both 4’s or 4a’s. is one of them bored or tuned???

Two 4A’s. I don’t know if they’ve been bored or tuned.

someone may have replaced the 5 with a 4 because the 5 was damaged. Someone with more knowledge will chime in before long i am sure. If neither has been tuned, i feel like the two same horns would drone and overcome the better sound of the other horns. It would basically sound like a K4 if one was ever made.

A K5LA is a musical chord so it would probably sound “off” with the #5 missing.
All you can do is try it & see how you like it.
I’ve been wanting to try mine with 2 #5’s.

If you bought it from a reputable seller or off eBay I would contact them asap and ask for the #5 bell in exchange for the #4a. I bought a k3la the other day advertised as a k3la and I got a k3 with bell # 1, 3, and 3a but I didn’t complain beings #3 bells are harder to find just like #5 bells.
