I am trying to put K5s in a new jeep. I am going to have to split them up. I have made brackets but have a few questions.

  1. It seems that most 1/2 inch fittings are 1/2" OD, Is this what I want? would rather have it be “ID”.

  2. When I put these under water and apply 30 psi I get a small amount of bubbles which indicates air leak around fitting, is this acceptable?

Welcome to the forum.
I think a 3/8" NPT fitting seems to be 1/2" OD with 3/8" ID.
Leaks will cause the compressor to run occasionally and if it’s left on overnight you could end up with a dead battery.
