k5's on the water!!!!

I would almost guarantee those pistons and switches dont run off of anywhere near 200psi tho… I’d look into that before hooking that up or you might have a blown piston or a door shot closed like a cannon, lol.

No doubt! Definitely have to get that psi tuned down.

Here is a close up of the manifold, if you look there are small valves that can adjust the pressure that goes to each air piston.

This will definitely have to be trial and error…

Isn’t there some type of pressure reducer fitting that I can put in-line after the tank and before the manifold?

Haha Star Trek!

The little valves on your manifold are most likely “flow controls”. They can slow the air down, but do not reduce pressure. So if you don’t want to blow the vinyl tubing, you’ll need a pressure regulator. Like you said - trial and error. Maybe they’re little pressure regulators…

Sweet boat! Keep us posted.

love the video

I would like to do that to a couple of my knucklehead friends LoL

SO I found this in another thread from you

“I’m getting part 4959K53 for around $60 from mcmastercarr”

did you buy that regulator?

Do you like it?

did you buy that regulator?

Haven’t yet, but a couple others have.
I’m redoing everything and have a whole shopping list for mcmastercarr.
They carry quality stuff.

If u still have the compressor that originally came on the boat for the doors i would try to look the specs up on it to give u an idea where to start adjusting your pressure gauge.

Unfortunately the original tank and compressor were tossed out last year.

I have to start from scratch with figuring out how much pressure…

That is sick! Very nice install. I can’t wait to see the finished product

Well now that Irene is gone and the boat made it through with no issues it is time to re-focus.

I ordered the pressure regulator and bracket today.

It should be here probably early next week.

I will keep you posted.

Everyone Njoy Labor Day.

It’s gonna be a horny weekend!!!

hahahahahahahaaa

Haha me too! Well, sort of… I sent my order to our purchasing dept today. I gave our local pnuematics supplier a chance at it. The best he could do was around $90 and it was only 180cfm.

Glad you and the boat made it through Irene without damage.

love where you put the horns, they look great mounted there. a fresh coat of paint would really set them off. they sound great i bet you have a lot of fun with them, as if the boat wasn’t fun enough already!

All I have to say is that this is awesome!

Happy holidays to all, but it is a sad time of year here in New York.

The boat is out of the water until April.

I did used the air system to help winterize the boat, I blew out all the water lines that run to the sinks, hot water heater, shower and head.

Then I used it on the a/c lines.

It really worked like a charm and it saved me $ on not buying antifreeze that usually gets pumped through.

Wow I found a couple of pics of the original set up from 1985 before I removed it all from the boat. Look at this junk, state-of-the-art back then…

Looks like the gauge went up to 120 psi, so thats good info to get the air doors working without bursting the clear air tubing…
