Did anyone ever tryed out or has ever used or had the kong 2 horn from seige?? I had that one on my truck before the k3la. Thing was huge but no matter what i did never got loud? I bought a 1/2 selenoid 12v and 1/2 air line from a 5 gallon air tank at 150 psi and it was trash!! Just wondering?:d yet their video show that it was super loud.:rolleyes:
I dont really think you can make it loud, its just a truck stop horn.
IIRC you might be able to replace the spring pressing aginst the diaphram to make it a little louder.
I’ve got one. I think it’s sound’s great. Maybe not as loud than a Nathan-Airchime but for the price, it’s a loud horn ! :eek:

had it, thought it was loud when i had it, got the shockers, wayyyyy louder and sound better
Had it, thought it was loud when I did, got the K5LA and turned it into an LAR … wayyyyy louder! Much more authentic.
Have to agree with ya on the Shocker series though. When it comes to The MK2 or the Shockers, “Go with the Shockers.” You won’t be disappointed. If you can’t afford the cost of the real thing or have the space needed, the Shockers solve both your problems. Their compact and durable system allows a greater flexibility on your mounting options too.

I bought your Kongs for my son. They are great and super loud. He has a One gallon tank and mounted comp. It works prefect for him…Not as loud as my Leslie…LOL

I have a friend that has one of the KONG horns. It sounds pretty good, but it doesn’t compare to the airchime.
Thank you Big Red. Glad your happy. Might want to upgrade the tank to a 5gal. Won’t be dissapointed. May need to upgrade the compressor too. Not sure what your using now. I had a 380C with it on my truck. Check with Garrett. He’ll be fair.

I bought a tank -comp combo kit from a person here. Not quite as described but it works for my son ($90 so not bad to start) . I need about a 3 gallon tanks and little better comp

IMO, it is much louder and better sounding than the shockers. Of course, my Leslie RS3K blows pretty much any other train horn in existence out of the water.
