leslie supertyfon questions

Hey, I have found a set of Leslie Supertyfons but I have questions. They are #25 and a #31, and a #44 . Can anyone tell me anything about this type of horn? Tone? High or low? What is a good price to expect to pay? Will my 1/2" shocker valve hooked to my stock horn button work with these? Thanks Mark

Sounds to be a typical RS3L. yes 1/2" valve will work it. expect to pay around 400 bucks or so. Could be cheaper depends on the day.

Where do you buy parts for these babys if they need any? Thanks Mark

I’m not sure if Hornblasters sells Leslie parts or not, but I have a very cheap, reliable source for any Leslie part you would ever need (and any Leslie horn for that matter). PM me if you want the information.

Guys, Thanks for the responses. I got the horn and have wokeup the holler this evening. I need to study a little more about it and see if there is anything I need to do before I mount it on my truck. It does sound a little flat? Some blows it sounds in harmony with each other? It’s plenty loud, can be heard by family members 3 1/2 miles away! Here’s a pic. Thanks Mark

Oh and forgot to mention in my PM, if you mean what I think you mean about it sometimes sounding in harmony, I’d heard the same thing with my Leslie. They are kinda air hungry horns so make sure you have a good size air line and plenty of air when blowing it. They really like 115 or so to about 130 PSI. I recommend not going over 140 or so as that’s what Leslie says on their website.

I currently have a 5gl and a 1.5gl tank tied together without a compressor for a semi horn hooked to my stock button with a shocker 1/2" sol. valve. Thinkin a 20008 kit tied into one or the other of my current tanks. I will wire this horn seperate from the stock button. Thanks Mark
