Guys how do I make my shockers louder? They are set at 140psi. I have the conductors special 232 kit. I don’t want to harm the system though
That kit already has the bigger valve & airline. I guess your only option is higher pressure, so you’re looking at a new compressor & pressure switch.
Why a new compressor? Wouldnt it just build to whatever the pressure switch allowed? What about damage to the reeds?
The 325C compressor is rated to 150. If it would actually pump to 200 it would greatly reduce it’s life.
What about damage to the reeds? Hornblasters warranty isn’t that great
Do you mean the diaphrams in the Shockers? The warranty should cover those.
There are people running 200psi to shockers…
Did I see something about a “new compressor”? ROFL
Warranty? My horns have had a small squeak and all they want to do is charge me for another set, didn’t send me a sticker with the kit and won’t send me one of those either
Hi Dan,
Thank you for writing. The maximum pressure that we would recommend using for our Locomotive horns is 180 psi. However, the solenoid valve we include in the kit has a max psi of 150. The horns sound great and extremely loud, though, even at 125 psi.
Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional information.

John

What’s the ***** guy got to do with it?
Why does it bleep b u e l l. If I put those letters together
Don’t cuss! Lol. You have to put periods after each letter to trick the server.
They make the shockers.
Oh ok. Why does the server do that? Is it a bad word I don’t know? Lol
Well now that that is solved, I need a different valve?
What’s the loudest Psi?
Your valve is fine, I think it’s rated to 200PSI. You’d need a new pressure switch to go to 200PSI. With higher pressure I think you lose some bass.
Well I don’t want that… I guess ill save up 1500 and just buy a k5la
lol good choice.
