Make sure you have a safety pressure valve!

Check out this article listed below. Happened in my area today. It was hot today and this guys air tank over pressurized blowing up the tank in his truck… If you dont have a safety value, get one on your tank. It will save you from this. I know, the guy who wrote the article is stupid… lol air horn explodes.

Nice find and great tip for people who think they dont need a pressure relief valve!

Welcome to the site

I want to see how the tank looks! and if it actually did any damage to anything

I neglected to fit one to my 8.5g tank once - park the car at a show, set up tent & go to sleep, wake up in morning to move the truck - battery completeley flat, get jump start, truck starts, looks at electronic pressure gauge - :eek:312psi:eek:

A relay malfunctioned & kept pumping away until the battery went dead on the truck!

I liked the bit in that piece “Police now say that although shotgun ammunition was found in the cab, it was an air horn, not the ammunition, which exploded.”, over here, having ammo in your possesion, would have been almost as bad as if the guy had actually murdered someone!

Heck yeah - need pics of carnage.

Dumb guy!!! I would love to see some pics

They should have said, “Air Tank” Not “Air Horn” Because its the tank that holds the pressure, not the horn. lol. anyways, I was going up this mountain a couple of days ago and my air line exploded, I’ll post up pics.

Air horn explodes inside pickup truck in Delaware ???

^that makes more sense now!

Lol I wonder if it really was one of those
