I really want to get a train horn kit for my 2005 Mini Cooper. The $350 kit should fit in my boot area but i’m not sure about the air tubes that go outside to the horns. How do you setup the air tubes from the inside of your cabin to the outside of your car? since my horns are going to be on the roof. Can the air tubes go through the hatch or will it be pinched when closing the hatch. Please help!
I have never worked on a mini cooper but you might be able to run the air line inside the headliner but dont pinch the line in any way or you will be restricting flow to the horns.
Your brave for drilling holes in a 05 mini cooper.
With your battery being in the trunk, you already have a hole for the vent tube going out the bottom. You may be able to use that hole, or drill a hole in the battery compartment and install a grommet next to the vent tube. Pull up the floor that exposes the battery and see.
For the life of me, I can’t figure out where you would put the horns. The Mini does a great job of using up most of the space that is needed.
