I’ve got a question maybe some of you here on the forum can help me with. I’d like to mount the air pressure gauge in the dash on my truck, but I don’t how or if it can be done. Has anyone here ever done that?
Thanks, Dan

Should be straight forward, find a spot to put it, make sure there is plenty of room behind the dash for you guage and air line or wire. Once you pick a spot grab the hole saw for the drill and put in a hole. Make sure you use the right size for whatever guage you have. Normally either a 1. 5 inch hole or a 2 inch. Connect you wires or airline and your good to go!!
Hope this makes sense

If your regular air lines go anywhere near the dash, then just run a thin splice from your air supply to a mechanical gauge. On the other hand, if you have no air near the cabin, then your easiest method is to buy an electronic gauge kit. It’ll have a pressure sender which you can mount on the tank and then just run a couple of wires and some power up to the gauge.
If you have long distance to cover, then the electronic gauge will be much simpler to install. See here for purchase options:

Electronic is the way to go. Check out my install in my posts. I’ll post of a link if you can’t find it when I get home.

In my 2010 silverado I used the double deep cup holder to make a “instrument panel cluster” I placed two mechanical gauges and multiple switches to control my horns, airbags, and other add ons.
must. post. pics.
please.
Sorry, Here is the picture of my control panel and Graham-White. I’ve been at work so much its hard to get good pictures with good light. Here is the best picture I can get with my camera phone.
Tierboss nice looking install.
Thanks a lot - I have the same center console.
Nice work!
That console install looks top notch… just like a bought one I just had another quick look at the rest of your stuff as well, and hat off to you sir… you know what you’re doing.
I can’t take credit for the actual installation. I supplied the parts and the schematics of what I wanted to Custom Truck Accessories in Reno, NV. The layout, hose lines, and how I wanted everything to work was my idea. They performed the magic of the install! I will be a lifetime customer of theirs.
Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate them. I live here in Georgia and it sure would be nice if I could find a truck accessorie shop that could mount everything professionally on my truck and save alot of time.
Air suspension installers might be a good alernative.
Air suspension installers is also a good idea, but ask them if they are familiar with putting gauges in the cab or dash. The first place I took my truck to just have Firestone automatic leveling kit installed did it the most cheap way possible and put holes where they didn’t need to. Always ask if they’ve done something like you want before hand. Also I found it helps to take a schematic of what you want done and how you want it done. That way their quote is more accurate and there is no doubt about what is being done.
I learned this the hard way!!
I did mine myself, I found the perfect place, my Subaru has a small compartment on the dash, so I cut a hole the same size as the gauge and ran an airline from the tank to it, when I dont want to see it, I simply close the lid:D. I also wired a small LED to light it up at night which only comes on when I have the master switch turned on for the compressor etc etc.
There’s a truck and body shop here where I live. They work on the big trucks and trailers and dump trucks. I’ve thought about contacting them and seeing if they can install the whole system once I have all the pieces I need to get the K5’s up and ready to operate.
