I’m looking for the best place to install a 5 gallon tank on my 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 (new body style). I can’t seem to find a suitable place underneath (believe it or not). I figured there would be tons of room under there but it seems a little cramped for the 5 gallon tank. Anybody install this tank on this model truck before? I’m also looking for the best place to mount the 4 shocker horns and the compressor. I wanted to put the horns behind the grill but it seems a little tight in there too. I really want to avoid removing the spare tire as some have done-that is not an option for me. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Yeah I have a 2009 1500 and I hear ya.
The normal size tanks are just too big in diameter if you don’t want it to be seen.
You might need to use multiple smaller tanks or a long skinny tank.
Mine is going in the bed with a hard tonneau.
I’m putting Nathans behind my grill & bumper. Looks like a little cutting might be in order. But it looks like there should be a lot of room behind the bumper.
Sorry not much help, but it can be done - you just have to be creative.
I worked on getting the horns in today. I managed to get them behind the front grille. I mounted them on a flat aluminum bar that I bolted in front of the radiator. They are facing down. I’m very happy with how it came out.
I’m still looking for ideas for the tank. Anyone have a 5 gallon tank on their 07’ and up Sierra or Silverado? I want to avoid the bed and the spare tire compartment. Thanks
nice i put mine behind my girll of my 06 2500 kinda tight but it works. i put my comp. and tank in my tool box. which kinda sucks cause i use it lol. but you could put it under your rear seats unless you have subs
