Hi, im new to this forum. My question is that I previously ran a Viair 450H and 325 with a 9 gal tank at 125psi. My 450 broke and I continued running the 325 cautiously. I now plan on upgrading and to dual 7 gal tanks and dual 480’s with a 165/200 switch and then using the 325 with a 110/145 switch to prevent excessive alternator draw. I was wondering about any opinions anyone had on this. Thanks in advance.
well if it was my set up i would just buy another 480… and have 3 to 14 gallons… once the 150 psi shuts off both 480s are going to run till you hit 200 psi, and with viair u can do 1 compressor to 5 gallons of air to meet warranty… so you have to be careful what ya do…
yeah what johnny said… i’m sure lance will chime in here too lol =D
VIAIR compressors are rated to fill up to a 5 gallon air tank.
Running a 300 series compressor on a different pressure switch is acceptable if you also have 200 PSI-rated compressors in the mix.
Now I don’t get is why you were using an H-model compressor? Those are meant to fill tires only, not to fill air tank(s).
