Would it make a difference. Make that big differnce in flow or sound if I connected say two 5 gallon tanks by a large diameter hose like 1/2 or bigger. Just because a pair of 5 gallon is alot more
Manageable than a single 10 gallon
I assume it’d only be notice able when filling or blasting a long continuous horn. But any input??
More tanks = more air and more honking time. The only hose you would notice are the ones going from the valve to the horns. not the hoses connecting the two tanks.
I’ve thought about doing this, however, I would have to connect two or three 1/2" hoses to each tank because I’ve got three 1/2" airlines supplying all of my horns…
My tank empties rather quickly… I’m waiting for the day I can get an Oasis for it…
i plan on adding more gallons for honk time but i just wondered if split tanks apposed to a single tank would make a difference
like say full to empty time with two 5 gallon tanks and on 10 gallon tank
i guess as long as the hoses or hose going to the horns isnt larger than the connecting hose between the tanks it shouldnt be noticeable
i guess only testing it will tell i thought maybe thered be a lil hesitation or something also i figures someone has to have tried this before whatever the size of tanks
heres my setup… 2-5gal tanks , connected both together with 2-1/2" lines, then there is the 5/8" going out to the k3 on the right side…
I plan on upgrading the compressor in the future but surprisingly 1 380c fills both tanks up decent! Now from a dead empty its another story… but they are never that low… And if they are i hook up my shop compressor to the tank quick connect and fill em up to keep the stress off the viair…
